As soon as I leave Alanya, the big, mostly ugly hotels disappear, and I pass some banana plantations. It is much nicer to look at, and at least there won’t be any food supply problems today.

After a while the road narrows and starts winding upward.

Leaving one village from sea level, up to some 500 meters and back to the next village at sea level again.

And so on, but I never leave the coast line, only the altitude varies.

And I realize that this will not be a funny day.

Then I realize that at present average speed I will never make it to Anamour, some 140 km away.

Mentally I start preparing myself for my first night under the stars. Hopefully there will be no thunderstorm tonight. I have no more tent, only a light sleeping bag and a bivvy bag.

Finally, when I am sure to spend the night outside, I start looking out for some shelter before it gets dark. I decide to squat a shepherd’s hut, but once installed, the smell inside is definitely too strong, and I move under a pine tree. The night is fresh, but not too much, and the great view out of my bedroom compensates this little inconvenient by far.

No problems for my food supply over the next days
