I am ready

This week I got my US visa. As a EU citizen with a valid biometric passport one normally does not need a visa. But for me it is different. One of the reason to enter the US without visa, is to have a valid return ticket, which I do not have. I will enter with a one-way ticket. After a weird interview session at the US embassy, where I've been asked a lot of questions about my travels through Iran and other countries that are good friends of the US; and after explaining why I spent some time in the Syrian prisons, I now have a nice US visa, valid for 10 years.

I also have all possible and imaginable vaccinations. The usual issue is malaria. I'll start with 1 weekly Lariam pill in Panama, and this until the end of my travel.

My bike is is Anchorage, and will transported to Prudhoe Bay next week.

My last problem: I do not have a US insurance, cannot get one via internet, as I live outside the US. I still have no idea how to get one. Normally one should be able to get it at the border, but the point where I will start is not a normal border....
