Pichincha is an active volcano, located some 10 km from Quito. It last erupted in 2009, and is considered as very dangerous. Our today's climb was quite easy, but unfortunately the weather was bad, and we climbed in the mist, thus not seeing the mountain. So far we're doing well, no major problems. Tomorrow we'll start a 2 day ascent of Illiniza Norte.

This afternoon we went to "mitad del mundo" on official marker of the equator.

Our second summit: Rucu Pichincha
