From Wikipedia:

"Cotopaxi is  located about 28 km south of Quito, Ecuador, South America. It is the second highest summit in the country, reaching a height of 5,897 m ...........The mountain is clearly visible on the skyline from Quito"

Well, we wre here since a week now, and have not seen Cotopaxi; not even a glimpse of it! Dark and low clouds hide everything. In one hour we will climb to the Cotopaxi refuge, located at 4800 meters, spend another cold night up there, and attempt the summit tomorrow. But the weather looks really, really bad. We might well get rain in the lower slopes and snow higher up.

My only hope is that we won't get too strong winds, and that Cotopaxi summit is above the clouds.

Tomorrow we'll know.
