Yellowstone is the world's first national park. 8900 square km, almost 4 times Luxembourg! It is so amazing, that I spent 1 extra day in a lodge, at 2250 meters of altitude. The night before there was no vacancy in the near surroundings, and I had to drive 85km to the next town to find a place to sleep.

Here are hot springs,  pristine lakes,  roaring Yellowstone river waterfalls, an impressive canyon, and of course the famous geysers; overwhelming nature wherever I looked. Of course, the main attraction is "Old Faithful", probably the worlds most famous geyser, blowing regularly every 92 minutes, and attracting hundreds of spectators at every eruption. There are approximatively 10.000 hydrothermal features in the park, about half ot the worlds geysers are in this park.
